Welcome! After the Name or the name? To build a common understanding and eventually make friends with your ideal customer
, start with yourself, write to him or her as to write to a loved one. Write
as he or she likes, as if you wrote only to him or her, you're talking, that is, conversational style rather than novelistic. Pay up to her / him directly, name.
Read the thoughts and think about how they sound and what emotions trigger the following phrases:
"Dear Director" "Sir!" "Hello!" "Hi Daren! Is "Lord Darku" does not sound friendlier than the official style in his words "Sir"?
Or maybe "Hey Darek" sounds even better?
Well - not necessarily.
It all has to do with the correct identification of target group - The ideal customer. We turn to him in the manner and style appropriate to his / her age, rank / position, social status, etc. directly and informally as possible - but with due respect.
In many cases, I recommend a certain distance - especially at the beginning. Bury the use of the impersonal "Hello." Slightly better is "Hello" but it's also a last resort. You better ask yourself some trouble, try to get a First and Last Name, First Name, or even a nick-and your client (using modern Internet technology - subscription to the mailing lists, etc - it need not be that difficult at all) and start eg "Sir Tom " that - with his approval - after some time go to "Mr. Tom" or "Hi Tom."
Personally, I do not like this, when a stranger asks me directly with a friendly "Hi Daren." I am receiving it as something unnatural, artificial, something that turns me any anti-advertising messages, instead of neutralizing them!
Perhaps it is also in your case. The need for a sizeable
sense to know when and where to turn to other per you, at what stage of knowledge to use formal phrases, and when to use names.
On the other hand,
first and last name for each text of the most recognizable in the world , which certainly draws attention. It is worth to use it - so do not intrusive and appropriate manner.
The more you identify the target group to which you are writing (ideal client), the better you are the winner!
